Banko Gotiti
Stonefruit · jasmine · brown sugar. Best with V60.
A small specialty coffee bar on Allenby. Single-origin roasts, hand-poured one cup at a time. No syrups, no whipped cream, no laptops past 11. Just a daylight room and an espresso machine that gets opinions.
Every morning at 6:30 we cup three lots from Lina, our Tel Aviv roaster. Whichever one wins lives on the bar until close. If we run out, we close the espresso machine. We don't substitute.
A clean, bright cup with the kind of stonefruit you usually only taste in good white wine. The body is light but persistent — every sip lands the same. Best on V60 with 92°C water.
Three rotating origins on the shelf at any time. We grind to order — bring your method (or the name of your machine) and we'll dial it in.
Stonefruit · jasmine · brown sugar. Best with V60.
Cocoa · orange · honeycomb. Espresso favorite.
Black currant · tomato leaf · grapefruit. AeroPress hero.
A bag every two weeks, swapped between origins. Skip whenever. ₪70/bag, free local delivery.
Twelve seats, three at the bar. Concrete floor, a pegboard wall for whichever local artist asks first. We keep the music low until the bar quiets, then it gets louder. Open kitchen behind the espresso machine.
We don't ask. They write anyway. Common themes: the cortado, the silence at 8 a.m., and the fact that we don't have a Wi-Fi password.
"I've been in Tel Aviv 11 years. This is the first place I'd describe as 'serious about coffee' without being annoying about it."
"They told me the V60 wasn't ready yet and asked me to wait two minutes. I respect that more than the entire menu of any other café in this city."
"No Wi-Fi. No outlet wars. Came in for a cortado, ended up reading a book for the first time in weeks."
Order ahead lands at the bar with your name on a paper tag. If we run out of today's roast we close orders and post on the door. We'd rather close than serve something we wouldn't drink.
